Landing Helicopter Assault of the Yushen Class (China)
The latest addition to the Yushen class is the Type 076, which reflects China's commitment to enhancing its amphibious assault capabilities. A total of eight Yushen-class vessels are planned, with the first one commencing construction in 2019. Currently, only one Type 076 is completed and operational, while two others are still under development.
The Type 076 boasts impressive dimensions, measuring 778 feet in length and 118 feet in beam width. This substantial size allows the vessel to displace around 40,000 tons, making it one of the largest amphibious assault ships in service. The design includes a flight deck capable of accommodating up to thirty attack helicopters, facilitating rapid deployment and support for various military operations.
